How a quote or booking total is calculated
The order Fleetsync adds up rental, add-ons, insurance, delivery, discounts, tax and fees.
Every quote and reservation shows a Pricing/Cost Breakdown. The lines are built in this order:
- Vehicle Rental: the sum of each night’s rate. Click Show to see the daily breakdown and which rate plan priced each day.
- Add-ons: price × quantity (per-day add-ons are multiplied by the number of days)
- Insurance: for example “$12.00/day × 3”
- Delivery: base fee plus any per-mile charge, for delivery bookings
- Custom Charges: one-off charges you added, such as firewood
- Discounts: coupons or promotions, shown as a negative line
- Subtotal
- Taxes: from your tax rates or TaxCloud
- Fees: for example “Processing Fee: 5% of taxed total”
- Total
