Insurance and protection plans
Offer required or optional coverage at checkout, grouped into tiers.
Go to Settings → Insurance.
Add an insurance option
Click Add Insurance and fill in:

| Name / Description | For example “Basic Protection” |
| Price and Unit | For example $12 per day, or a one-time price |
| Required | Added to every booking automatically |
| Active | Turn off to hide the option without deleting it |
| Coverage Type | Damage Waiver, Liability, Personal Effects, Roadside Assistance or Other |
| Deductible (USD) | What the customer pays before cover starts. 0 means no deductible. |
| Coverage Limit (USD) | The most the insurance pays per incident. Leave empty for unlimited. |
| Terms (markdown) | Coverage terms shown to the customer at checkout |
| Available in | Whole fleet or specific regions |
Groups (tiers)
Click Add Group to bundle options into tiers, such as Basic, Standard and Premium. Renters pick one option from a group. Ungrouped options are shown on their own and can each be selected independently. Drag options to set the order renters see.
Damage waiver and deposits
When a renter buys an option with coverage type Damage Waiver, that vehicle’s security deposit is waived.
On a reservation
Each purchased policy shows its status, price, effective and expiry dates, what the customer pays first (the deductible) and the coverage limit.
