Regions and switching between fleets

How regions work, and how to switch fleet or filter the app to one region.

What is a region?

A region is an operating zone, usually a depot or city you rent from. Every vehicle belongs to exactly one region and keeps its own pickup address. Regions are used to:

  • filter the Dashboard, Calendar, Reservations, Quotes, Customers, Work Orders and Reports
  • show renters where a vehicle is based on your booking page
  • limit rate plans, add-ons and insurance to certain locations
  • scope a team member’s access to certain locations

Switching fleet or region

Click the fleet name at the top of the sidebar (for example, “Green Bay, WI · All regions · 6 vehicles”). The menu shows:

  • Fleets: every fleet your login can access. Pick one to switch.
  • Regions: choose All regions or a single region. The vehicle count for each is shown.

Creating and editing regions

Go to Settings → Regions and click Add Region (or Edit on an existing one). Each region has:

  • Name
  • Time zone: the region’s business day is measured in this zone.
  • Reference address (optional): roughly where the zone is. It’s used for maps and defaults. Each vehicle still has its own pickup address.

One region is marked Default.
